Here it is, spot number 5000! My life as a spotter began like the boys visible in the background, looking at nice cars and trying to figure out how to take good pictures of them. Photographing nice cars has become a huge hobby of mine, which I call 'going out to catch some fish'. I have been lucky to catch some great fish over the years and still have a few left to post from my trip to Vienna. Some of my favorites from the 5000 spots I have gathered are the 918 in IJlst, Koenigseggs, and the Reventon. There are still many fish I have yet to catch, such as the F50 (to complete my Ferrari-Big-Five), the Mansory Venatus (which I have seen swimming around but haven't caught), and a Zonda. I hope to collect these on my way to spot number 6000.

Mooie mijlpaal en hele mooie spot. Grappig om te zien hoe iedeeren zijn eigen toppers heeft gespot. Van de big 5 heb jij de lastigste al. De 288 GTO. Juist die ik nog moet. De F50 heb ik dan weer wel. 3 Uur voor in de auto gezeten naar Hoek van Holland, maar het helemaal waard.

Geweldige spot om je mijlpaal mee te vieren. Bizar dat je de 288gto al hebt gevonden, dat is de laatste voor mij om de big five compleet te krijgen.

Gefeliciteerd met deze mijlpaal! 🔥Ben benieuwd; hoe ziet jou "spotters leven" eruit? Ik spot al sinds 2007, maar heb er slechts zo'n 500 geupload. Ben jij sinds 2018 iedere dag hiermee bezig? Ga je op meerder spottrips per jaar? Want als ik goed reken, upload je gemiddeld 80 spots per maand (!).

Gefeliciteerd! Volgens mij was je nét voor me in Wenen, toen ik er was stond 'ie er niet meet helaas. Maar wel echt episch!

Mijn spottersleven is niet zo indrukwekkend als het lijkt. Ik ben aardrijkskundeleraar, maar ga best vaak eens een rondje lopen of fietsen in Sneek. Alles wat ik zie, leg ik vast, ook al is het een Carrera S. Op vakanties ga ik best vaak en dan neem ik altijd mijn camera mee. Ondertussen ben ik best goed geworden in wagens van een afstand spotten en ze zo weten te vangen. Op vakanties spot ik dan ook wel bijna het meest, maar tussen de vakanties door spot ik niet eens zo heel veel. Ik had van voor 2018 nog een bultje van 100 spots of zo liggen, van toen ik nog niet fanatiek spotter was. Tip voor als je meer wil spotten: gewoon lekker eens een dagje of weekje weg gaan en altijd de camera in de handen of om de nek hebben. @MosPos

@jpcarphotographyotography Dat klinkt inderdaad aardig gelijk aan mijn spotleven. Op vakantie heb ik ook vaak de camera wel mee, maar ben ook vaak met vrouw en kind op stap waardoor het spotten niet echt prio heeft (muv van wat heel dik spul). Verbaasd me wel dat je in Sneek woont en dan zoveel spots hebt! Boven Zwolle valt over het algemeen niet veel te spotten (woon zelf ook noordelijk van Zwolle namelijk). Misschien als ik al mijn spots zou uploaden ik ook wel de 1500 of 2000 voorbij zou kunnen gaan, heb er enorm veel in het archief. Maar die zijn inmiddels allemaal "dubbel". Hecht niet veel waarde aan sterspots, maar om nou 100 spots uit London van 10 jaar geleden te gaan uppen zonder sterretjes voelt ook wat raar ofzo :p
